10. Physical Activity: children spend so much time indoors, and off of their feet. At summer camp, children spend their day moving, running, hiking, jumping, dancing, climbing, biking; they almost forget what it feels like to sit!

9. Confidence: Camp is good for the soul; it builds self-confidence and self-esteem. Academic, athletic and social competition is largely removed, making our environment safe and comfortable for every child.

8. Resiliency: Our nurturing environment yields encouragement allowing children to endure setbacks, take on unknown challenges and even try difficult things a second time to experience improvement.

7. Unplugged: Camp is a vacation from TV, laptops and cell phones and a window into the creative powers of children. Here, kids encounter real people, doing real activities offering the socialization they will need to be successful.

6. Skills: Through the right instruction and safe equipment, kids build talent in athletics, arts and adventure. Simply through the vast array of activities we offer, every child is bound to discover and develop personal interests.

5. Independence:Kids can practice decision making without the influence of parents and teachers. Children welcome the chance to make daily choices and blossom in this wholesome environment.

4. Free time:Camp is structured…just not as structured as the routines of home and school. Kids need time to “just play”; we offer such a place with carefree living and the chance to relax, laugh and be silly all day long.

3. Community:Everyone that comes here must agree to cooperate and respect one another. By living in cabin groups, campers share chores, resolve conflict and grow to understand the significance of open communication.

2. Fun:We wouldn’t forget about this, of course? Kids deserve the chance to enjoy their summer, and soak up the great outdoors. Camp is a silly place at times, and there is nothing wrong with that!

1. Friendship:The atmosphere at camp brings people together. For years, great friendships have been built and strengthened through time at summer camp. Singing, laughing, cheering, talking, playing and doing everything we do at camp is bound to lead to close bonds between kids.
