This summer’s programs may be the most exciting and varied yet - and what better way to share our new programs than with a Top Ten list?

Top Ten New Programs for Summer 2013 at Camp Bernie:

10. All new Teen Trip locations, including NBC Studios, Rebounderz Indoor Trampoline Arena and Coco Keys Indoor Water Park.

9. Team Cargo Net ASE: A horizontal cargo net that groups of campers must cross safely. For dramatic effect, we encourage backwards somersaults off the net at the end!

8. Raft Building: as highlighted in the most recent Outdoor Ed blog! Campers will construct a raft using a few supplies and set sail across Camp Bernie pond.

7. New All Camp Day for session 13D: Adventures of Robin Hood! Maid Marian, Friar Tuck, Sheriff of Nottingham and the Merry Men will help turn Camp Bernie into Sherwood Forest this August.

6. Big Wheel racing for Chickasaws! Finally, our youngest campers will get to ride bikes too, as they take our brand-new big wheels for a spin around our fun course.

5. One week sessions are now a full 7 days, to include All Camp Day.

4. Voyager Day Camp for 5th through 8th graders, specially tailored to offer exciting adventures that are age-appropriate. Weekly trip to places like Dorney Park, Camel Beach and the Delaware Water Gap.

3. Geo-Caching program, which utilizes GPS technology to search for hidden treasures throughout our 275-acre property.

2. Discovery Day Camp for Kindergarteners through 4th Graders, with magical new themes such as “Willy Wonka Week”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “On Safari”.

1. Vertical Play Pen: that’s right, a vertical obstacle course will be added onto our existing high ropes course! This might be the most challenging, physically demanding course activity around. A series of obstacles such as rope ladders, large tires, suspended beams, will create a varied challenge for our campers as they ascend.
