YMCA Camp Bernie is committed to providing a safe, positive and fun experience for your child. We strive to select a diverse group of mature caring, patient, skilled and responsible counselors. Many of our staff are college students who are pursuing careers in education and other human service related fields. Prior to the arrival of campers all staff receive background checks and training in safety, counseling techniques, conflict resolution, camp policies and procedures. This high standard of professionalism results in a safe, fun high quality experience for our campers.Medical Supervision:
Our Nurse/Health Officer is a fully trained and experienced individual who lives on-site and is on call 24 hours a day. They work closely with staff, campers and parents to ensure the well being of every child. In addition to local physicians who are on call, Camp Bernie has access to nearby Hunterdon Medical Center and Hackettstown Hospital. |
